Journal of Personal Feminist Rhetoric

The Journal of Personal Feminist Rhetoric (JPFR) is a quarterly, open-access, interdisciplinary journal with a focus on rhetoric and composition that publishes peer-reviewed research, editorials, articles, and practitioner reports related to the study and practice of narratives as a source of invention and as a valid methodology of scholarly research. JPFR welcomes submissions from both scholars and practitioners, including graduate students, from a variety of disciplines that involve the feminist principles of autonomy, choice, empowerment, and meaningful engagement in regard to personal experiences. JPFR also seeks to bring forward and support the voices of those too often marginalized in the academy, particularly in the field of rhetoric and composition, especially graduate students, adjuncts, and other part-time faculty.
Mission
The mission of JPFR is to foster a community where researchers, instructors, practitioners and policy makers can come together and pursue the scholarly value of narratives as a source of invention and a valid methodology for research. The JPFR welcomes scholarship from the field of rhetoric and composition and the related fields of social sciences and communicative study that uses personal experiences and personal narrative as a source of methodology or invention to reveal new ways of inquiry or issues.
